Rouble started the year with decline in pairing with USD
With the start of the trading session at the MICEX currency section the Russian Rouble rate declined in pairing with the USD, repeating negative dynamics of the pair EUR/USD, which subsided by 3.6% in the first week of 2011. Oil prices, which decreased by about $2, also put pressure on the domestic currency.Thus, trading session for the USD started at the level of 30.73 roubles, which is 16 kopeks more than the closing session level on 30 december; the EUR started movement at the level of 39.5 roubles.
Dual currency basket value decreased by 46 kopeks on Tuesday and amounted to 34.67 roubles.
To all appearances, the pair Rouble/Dollar will be gained from the events today which took place during New Year holidays in Russia.
Presumably the pair Rouble/Dollar will not go beyond the channel of 30.60-30.8 5 roubles for the USD at the trading session today.
