Rouble started pre-New Year week with the growth in pairing with the USD

With the start of the trading session at the MICEX currency section the Russian Rouble rate increase in pairing with the USD amid stability in the pair EUR/USD at Forex.

Thus, trading session for the USD started at the level of 30.3 roubles, which is 16 kopeks less than the level on Friday; the EUR started movement at the level of 40.04 roubles (+5 kopeks).

Dual currency basket value decreased by 6 kopeks on Monday and amounted to 34.67 roubles.

Therefore, the major currency pair supports the Rouble. Maintenance of high oil prices is also a factor of support.

Presumably the pair Rouble/Dollar will be in the channel of 30.20-30.45 roubles for the USD at the trading session on Monday.
