Rouble continues to decline against USD

With the start of the trading session at the MICEX currency section the Russian Rouble rate continues to decline on Tuesday under the pressure exerted by the sale in the major pair EUR/USD at Forex.

Thus, trading session for the USD started at the level of 31.40 roubles, which is 7 kopeks more than the level yesterday; the EUR started movement at the level of 41.17 roubles, (+2 kopeks).

Dual currency basket value declined sharply yesterday and today it is slightly recovering.

Therefore, negative external background and investors’ expectations that debt problems of Eurozonem will extend further to the weak economies continue to put pressure on the Russian currency.

Presumably the pair Rouble/Dollar will not go beyond the range of 31.20-31.50 roubles for the USD at the trading session on Tuesday.
